Our Story

 

The Catholic communities of the parishes of St Matthew's Windsor, St Monica's Richmond and St John's Riverstone, worked for many years to secure a Catholic high school for the Hawkesbury Area.


Key Events
1985 Approval was obtained from the Archdiocese of Sydney and the site was chosen on a block in South Windsor.
1986 The school opened in the partially completed building at Rifle Range Road with 110 pupils and a staff of Principal, Deputy, six teachers and a school secretary. After three days the whole school moved to the Darruk Training Centre which had been out of use for some eighteen months. The College occupied these excellent facilities until 1st March 1986
1987 Building and occupation of Stage 2—four laboratories (three being used as classrooms) and the administration building, containing two temporary classrooms
1988 Building and occupation of Stage 3—Block C containing seven classrooms and an office area and the school library
1989 Building of Stage 4—ten classrooms, offices and storage areas
1990 Building of Stage 5—six classrooms, two science laboratories, music and drama complex
1992 Building of Stage 6—four classrooms, office and storage area
1996 B Block—sports building
2002 A Block—extension and renovation of drama room, music rooms, computer labs, workshops and kitchens
2003 October fire—administration and teachers' studies/work areas destroyed
2004 Temporary administration opened and occupied
2007 Occupation of the new administration building
2008 Official opening of Good Samaritan Hall
